 A. Formulation Development    
 
(i) Modern Medicine:
The company's major business interest is on formulation of pharmaceutical dosage forms and, not surprisingly, new products, comprising new bulk actives are launched at regular intervals. Apart from conventional dosage forms, the department is working on newer technologies like transdermal gels, sustained release products and other novel drug delivery systems.
 
(i) Herbal Medicine:
A renewed interest, worldwide, in herbal products led to the launching of several such products in quick succession. Development work on several other products in the areas of antistress, aphrodisiacs, etc. is nearing completion for commercialization.
 
   
 
  B. Analytical Development    
 

The department has a sophisticated instrumentation facility for:

  1. analytical process development
  2. stability study of formulated products and bulk actives.
These processes are transferred to the Quality Control department for the production of quality products.





 
       
  C. Pollution Control    
  We are always concerned with a pollution free environment. To achieve this objective there has been a continuous effort towards environment friendly processes. Some of these techniques have been successfully implemented in the effluent treatment plants of our factories.
