Actions
Most of the distress in children suffering from acute nasopharyngitis
and chronic rhinitis/ nasopharyngitis is due to nasal obstruction
and attempts should be made to provide relief as it interferes
with sleep or with food or fluid ingestion.
Nasal instillation of Zoamet

Drops may
be an effective method to remove nasal obstruction through
mucosal vasoconstriction. This results in shrinkage of mucosal
oedema, promotes drainage and thereby improve ventilation.
Zoamet

Drops is
better than oral decongestants due to its immediate effect
and needs no addition of corticosteroid or antihistamines.
